A deployable, multi-feed linguistic processing system for transcription, translation, interpretation, and document & media exploitation at the tactical edge — engineered for disconnected, denied, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth environments.
System overview
ROSETTA collapses what used to be four separate workflows — transcription, translation, interpretation, and DOMEX — into a single deployable system, governed by one set of confidence and provenance contracts.
Process
ROSETTA does not deliver a wall of transcript. Every span of audio, every captured page, and every video frame moves through the same four-stage contract — and the operator sees what to act on first.
Multi-feed audio, captured documents, and digital media are pulled in concurrently — over the network, over hardline, or off-platform.
Diarization, language ID, and segmentation produce time-bounded spans that map back to the source — frame, byte, or millisecond.
Each span is transcribed, translated, and assigned a calibrated confidence score plus the full decoder & model provenance.
Output is ranked, clustered, and routed to operators, analysts, and downstream tools — high-confidence to action, low-confidence to review.
Modules
Each module ships with the same provenance and confidence contract. Programs adopt one and add the others as the operating picture expands.
Multi-feed transcription and translation of intercepted communications. Built for throughput, with confidence scoring, selector-based alerts, and analyst routing.
Real-time, two-way voice interpretation between operator and source. Designed for screening, source meetings, and field interviews when no cleared linguist is co-located.
OCR, translation, and triage of captured paper, digital, audio, and video material. Built for the messy real-world inputs that show up in DOMEX.
Operating envelope
ROSETTA is engineered for the environments where most cloud-anchored translation pipelines fail: disconnected, denied, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth. Edge-resident processing is the floor.
System operates with zero network availability. All processing, scoring, and routing is local.
Continues operating when SATCOM or theater comms are unavailable, jammed, or restricted by mission posture.
Resyncs cleanly on link return. Pending output is pushed in priority order, not in arrival order.
Output is metered, prioritized, and degradation-aware. Operators see the high-confidence segments first.
What ROSETTA is — and isn't
ROSETTA is built to extend the cleared linguist and the analyst — not to replace either. Every output is reviewable, every confidence score is calibrated, and every model is versioned.
A deployable, edge-resident pipeline for transcription, translation, interpretation, and document exploitation. Confidence- and provenance-bearing by default. Designed to plug into the operator's existing workflow.
Not a chat product. Not a cloud-only translation API. Not a replacement for a cleared linguist or a trained analyst. Not a black box — every span is sourced, scored, and reviewable.
